Fire Station & City Hall Renovation City of Lyndhurst
GCS was selected as the Construction Manager at Risk for this City of Lyndhurst Fire Department and City Hall renovation.
Serving the community out of a building from 1974, the City is looking to create a facility that reflects the needs of a modern firefighting team that will serve the community with improved response times, along with the adaptive use of City Hall spaces. The renovation will create a strong circulation corridor joining the existing municipal center and police station to fire station.
The project will feature an expanded apparatus bay and gear storage area, updated sleeping quarters, kitchen and dayroom, as well as a new community / training room, department offices, fitness room and community meeting rooms.
A second story will be added to house the sleeping quarters, kitchen and dayroom. A balcony is being incorporated for use in firefighter training.
New infrastructure (electrical, IT, HVAC) will serve the expanded and renovated areas.
