Cleveland Metropolitan School District Greenspace Construction Services LLC (GCS) was selected as the construction manager for the following: Design/Builder for this new 160,000 square foot 9 - 12 high school project for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) and OFCC. The new 9-12 facility will be approximately 160,000 square feet and construction is scheduled to commence immediately after demolition in the summer of 2027, with anticipated Project completion in the summer of 2030. PRE-QUALIFICATION OF SUBCONTRACTORS GCS will be prequalifying subcontractors with criteria that has been pre-approved by the OFCC and the CMSD in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the State of Ohio for Design/Builder contracting. Although GCS will share information on bids received with the Owner, this is not a public bid opening. More information on bid delivery will be issued with the bid packages to pre-qualified subcontractors. Information will be treated as confidential, and only shared with the members of GCS, OFCC, and CMSD involved with the pre-qualification process. Contractors must be prequalified to submit a Proposal to the Design/Builder for any of the packages advertised herein. Bidders are encouraged to be enrolled in and to be in good standing in a Drug-Free Safety Program (“DFSP”) approved by the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (“OBWC”) prior to submitting a Proposal and provide, on the Proposal Form with its Proposal, certain information relative to their enrollment in such a program; and, if awarded a Contract, shall comply with other DFSP criteria described in General Conditions Paragraph 1.6 – Drug Free Safety Program Participation. It is also GCS’s intent to allow for the bidding of Combination Bids. We believe that this practice will allow for additional competition in the market, sustain the viability of local general contractors and allow the inclusion of smaller subcontractors who might otherwise be ineligible.
