GCS was part of the team that worked with the U.S. Coast Guard on this multi-phase Design-Build project. Phase 1 included a new 25,000sf, $11 million, Cleveland Coast Guard Station. The site is located on the shore of Lake Erie in downtown Cleveland and adjacent to the Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame.
The project was constructed within a small area of a compact, operating Coast Guard base and planning included access, security and public safety, both inside the base and at the perimeter to the City. The project achieved LEED Gold certification.
Phase 2 included a new 8,500sf, $4.6 million boat maintenance facility that included an office, shop and storage space.
